belt squeal?

Sometimes the belt squel will come from the belt being over tightened, but usually it has come loose. This was a continuing problem for me, JR's pulley design and pulleys kind of suck. There are two belts you need to look at, the crank-alternator belt which is tightened by that long 10mm bolt which pulls the tensioner pulley up, to stop this pulley from slowly lowering overtime, you need to put some threadlock on the bolt going through the pulley and crank the bolt on nice and tight so that the pulley is totally locked in place. Second, the alt-to nose pulley belt which is tighten with the swinging pulley under the PS pump line. You need to loosen the 2 12mm bolts that secure this swinging mechanism and then you can adjust the pulley with the long bolt that pushes that pulley out to tighten.
you should probably replace the belt if has been squeeling long, my squeel would shreek when the blower would start to boost the engine under moderate to full throttle, it was totally embarassing.

Does belt squeal mean its time to tighten it? Can someone walk me through on how to tight the sc belt? I'm pretty sure it has something to do with that long screw on top of JR supplied alternator adapter peice... just not sure. Thanks.

P.S. If I need to replace the belt, anyone know what size/brand belt I should get?
